Jim Braddock  was born and raised in North Carolina's smallest city- Morganton.  He graduated from The McCallie School in 1960 and NC State University in 1964.  His life experiences include a tour in Vietnam with the US Army Corps of Engineers, 30 years with the IBM Corporation (In just 2 cities-Richmond, VA and Atlanta, GA).
He and his wife of 45 years first bought at Ocen Iasle Beach in 1987.  After retiring from IBM, Sarah and Jim started Braddock Built Renovations, a custom home and residential renovations business in Atlanta.  In 2004 they turned over the reigns of that company to their daughter Betsy Palmer who operates it in Shallotte, NC today.  Jim and Sarah moved full time to Ocean Isle Beach in 2007.  They are active with Shallotte Presbyterian Church, Lower Cape Fear Hospice, and the Ocean Isle Beach Land Conservancy.
They have 2 children, son Jay and daughter Betsy and 2 beautiful 8 year old granddaughters, Rachel Braddock and Powell Palmer.

Jerry Rothenberg was born and raised in New Jersey. He went south as soon as he could, living in Virginia while attending Georgetown University and moving to Durham, N.C. for a graduate program at Duke University. He taught political science for 8 years, practically went broke, attended law school, and moved to Houston to work for Exxon Corporation as a tax attorney. Jerry relocated to Greensboro and became General Counsel for Gilbarco, Inc., a former Exxon subsidiary. He retired in 2004 (when the last of his four children graduated college)  and became a full-time resident at Ocean Isle Beach.
Jerry and Ellen have been married for 43 years, even though Ellen is a rabid UNC basketball fan. Jerry is active as President of the Ocean Isle Property Owner's Association and Treasurer and Trustee of the Museum of Coastal Carolina. He also does pro-bono legal work for a number of local non-profit organizations and deserving individuals.

Janie Withers is a full time resident of Ocean Isle Beach since 2004.  She and her husband Glenn have been married for 26 years.  They have 2 daughters, Kayrn and Temple .  Kayrn lives with her family in Havana Cuba and Temple lives with her family in Raleigh.   The newest love of their lives are 3 grandchildren, Ali, Brody and Travis.  They have owned their home on Ocean Isle Beach since 1993.  In 2004, Janie retired from R J Reynolds Tobacco Co in Winston Salem NC as a meeting and event planner  and has lived full time in Ocean Isle Beach since that time.
Janie serves on the Recreation Advisory Board for Ocean Isle Beach.  On Thursdays, you will find her playing pirate with 35+ children at the community center! 
Janie is an advocate for the protection of animals and is active in the animal rescue community.  In 2007, Janie began Paws-Ability, a non profit organization to raise funds for the existing  no-kill animal shelters and rescue groups in Brunswick County.

Wayne Rowell has been a full time resident of Ocean Isle Beach since February 2008. He and his wife Linda have owned property at Ocean Isle since 1997.He is a retired CPA having worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers early in his career and then owning his own firm for the past thirty years. He has served on numerous boards including Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board of Mint Hill, NC for 15 years. While serving as chairman he oversaw the construction of a 55 acre park in the Town of Mint Hill. He currently is serving on the Town of Ocean Isle Beach Board of Adjustment, Ocean Isle Beach Land Conservancy Board, Treasurer of The Ocean Isle Beach Garden Club and volunteers his time to the LOGOS program and Beach Ministry of the Shallotte Presbyterian Church.
Wayne's wife of 43 years is Linda and their three grown children are John, Richard, and Mark. They have two grandchildren with a third on the way. Wayne is an avid sports fan and loves to walk on the beach and read. He also likes gardening and working in the yard. He coached youth sports teams for 20 years in the Mint Hill community.
Wayne received his BS Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of South Carolina and passed the CPA exam in the state of North Carolina. He is a lifetime member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
